Description

In this course, students will be introduced to the nature of philosophy, philosophical thinking, major intellectual movements in the history of philosophy, including topics from the western philosophical tradition, and various problems in philosophy. Students will strengthen their intellectual skills, become more effective learners, and develop broad foundational knowledge. Additional approaches may include understanding the contexts of philosophical inquiry across historical and cultural traditions and their application to the world in which we live.

Qualify for enrollment in ENC 1101

None

Conditions

This course fulfills the Gordon Rule writing requirement and must be completed with a grade of C or higher pursuant to State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.030.
