Description

This high-intermediate level course is intended for students on a 9th or 10th grade academic level. Instructional time emphasizes solving real-world problems involving operations with rational numbers, linear equations, volume and surface area, as well applications of proportional reasoning in geometry. The course is designed to teach students to use mathematical concepts to solve problems encountered in daily living or in work settings. SPECIAL NOTE: The ASB Program is a non-credit program designed to develop the literacy and numeracy skills necessary for students to be successful workers, citizens, and family members. The Academic Skills Building (ASB) programs are offered for Mathematics and Reasoning through Language Arts. Students may enroll in coursework in either or both program options.
